Who we are

Where an idea becomes a plan

Future Leaders Society gives young people a place to begin: where an idea becomes a plan, ambition meets responsibility, and leadership is measured by the consequences of the choices we make. Our programmes bring high-school students from around the world together to debate, negotiate, create and lead.

“The future will be shaped by the values, questions and decisions of the young people who will eventually lead.”

Future Leaders Society

Future Leaders Society – FLS, is an international educational platform created through the cooperation of schools, universities and educational communities from around the world. It was founded with a clear ambition: to contribute to a new vision of education.

We believe that some of the most important abilities cannot be developed solely in a traditional classroom. Leadership, negotiation, entrepreneurship, public speaking, critical thinking, international cooperation, teamwork and decision-making become truly meaningful when students apply them in practice.

For this reason, FLS promotes and organises international educational experiences in some of the world's most important cities. These cities become global classrooms where young people from different countries, cultures and educational systems meet, work together and learn from one another. Across the wider FLS community, more than 4,000 students from over 50 countries are connected through international experiences built around diplomacy, business, innovation and leadership.

FLS is not simply about travelling abroad. The purpose of each programme is to give participants a genuine role, a real challenge and a responsibility. Students are expected to research, make decisions, communicate, negotiate, build projects and defend their ideas. The experience is designed to help them discover what they are capable of when they move beyond passive learning and become active participants in their own education.

A student interested in diplomacy should not only read about how international organisations work. Through FLS, that student can represent a country, sit in a committee, negotiate with other delegations and contribute to the drafting of an international resolution. A student interested in business should not only study companies from a textbook. Through FLS, that student can work in an international management team, create a new business concept, develop economic and marketing strategies and present a complete industrial plan before a jury.

Students do not simply study leadership. They experience it.

Our purpose

Knowledge, experience, confidence, leadership

FLS delegates at the United Nations

This is the purpose of Future Leaders Society: to transform knowledge into experience, experience into confidence and confidence into leadership. The platform is designed for a generation that will have to operate in a world that is increasingly international, interconnected and complex. FLS wants young people to begin developing the skills needed for that world before they enter university or professional life.

The FLS 2027 Experience

In 2027, Future Leaders Society will sponsor four international programmes, each designed around a different dimension of leadership. The year opens in Istanbul from 21 to 27 January 2027, where the FLS Business Forum challenges students to build a Future Impact Startup in the city where Europe meets Asia. In New York City, from 4 to 12 February 2027, students are introduced to international diplomacy through the Model United Nations experience. In Barcelona, from 15 to 22 April 2027, the FLS Business Forum introduces students to international business, entrepreneurship, sustainability and corporate strategy. The year closes in Dubai, from 25 to 28 April 2027, with the FLS Young Business Forum.

Although each city offers a very different experience, they are united by the same educational philosophy. In New York, students are challenged to understand how countries negotiate and how international decisions are built through debate, alliances and compromise. In Barcelona, students are challenged to understand how multinational companies compete, innovate and turn ideas into viable business projects. In every city, the student is not a spectator. The student becomes part of the process.

Who We Are

Future Leaders Society is an international educational community built around the idea that the academic world must evolve together with the world outside the classroom. Schools and universities provide students with essential knowledge, but modern education also needs to create opportunities in which that knowledge can be tested, questioned and applied in realistic environments.

FLS was created from the union and cooperation of educational communities that share this vision. The platform brings together young people from different countries and allows them to participate in experiences that are international by nature. Instead of learning only within the limits of a single school, city or national system, students are encouraged to work with peers whose culture, language and way of thinking may be completely different from their own.

This diversity is not a secondary feature of the programme. It is one of its most important educational elements. Future leaders will rarely work only with people who think exactly as they do. They will need to understand different interests, different cultural expectations and different ways of approaching the same problem. FLS creates a safe and structured environment in which students can begin learning this at a young age.

The Learning by Doing Philosophy

The educational philosophy of Future Leaders Society is based on Learning by Doing. This does not mean abandoning academic preparation. On the contrary, students are expected to prepare seriously. The difference is that knowledge is followed by application. Participants first learn the concepts, methods and vocabulary connected to the programme. They are then placed in an international setting where they have to use what they have learned.

The process changes the role of the student. Instead of being asked only to remember information, participants must interpret it. Instead of simply repeating a theory, they must decide how to use it. Instead of receiving a solution from an adult, they are challenged to build their own solution with other students and explain why it should work.

Learning therefore becomes active. Communication is learned by communicating. Negotiation is learned by negotiating. Teamwork is learned by becoming part of a team. Leadership is learned by accepting responsibility for a decision. Entrepreneurship is learned by transforming an idea into a project that can survive questions about costs, customers, operations and competition.

This approach also teaches students that mistakes are part of the learning process. A weak argument can be improved. A business model can be redesigned. A team can disagree and still find a way forward. FLS programmes are structured so that students can experience these situations while being supported by tutors, educators and programme staff.

Our Mission

The mission of Future Leaders Society is to create international educational opportunities that help young people discover and develop their potential. FLS wants participants to leave a programme with more than a certificate. The deeper objective is for them to return home with greater confidence, stronger communication skills, a more international perspective and a clearer understanding of what leadership really means.

Leadership, in the FLS vision, is not defined simply by being in charge. It means being able to understand a problem before trying to solve it. It means listening to people whose views may be different. It means taking responsibility for the consequences of a choice. It means communicating a vision clearly enough that others can understand and support it. It also means recognising that complex global challenges rarely have simple solutions.

For that reason, FLS programmes are built around subjects that will shape the future of the next generation, including diplomacy, sustainability, entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, business strategy, environmental responsibility and international cooperation. The platform does not attempt to tell young people exactly what the future will look like. Instead, it asks them to begin thinking about what kind of future they want to help create.

Our International Community

An FLS programme brings together students who may never otherwise have met. Participants can come from different national school systems, different family backgrounds and different parts of the world, yet they are asked to work toward a common objective. This environment teaches students that intelligence and talent can be expressed in many ways and that effective teamwork often begins with curiosity and respect.

For many participants, the international community becomes one of the most memorable parts of the experience. English is used as the common working language, but the deeper form of communication involves understanding perspectives, learning how to collaborate and discovering how quickly professional relationships and friendships can develop when young people share an intensive challenge together.

FLS therefore considers international mobility to be an educational instrument rather than simply a travel opportunity. Moving from one city to another has value because it places students in a new environment. Working with international peers gives that movement a purpose. The aim is to make young people more independent, more confident and more capable of participating in a global society.

Powered by Edunova

Future Leaders Society is a project promoted and sponsored by Edunova Project Management, a UAE-based company headquartered in Dubai and specialised in international education, project management and the development of global educational experiences. Edunova designs and coordinates projects that connect schools, universities, students and international partners through programmes in which education is linked directly to practical experience.

The relationship between Edunova and FLS reflects the same philosophy that defines the programmes themselves. Education becomes stronger when knowledge is connected to action. Students should be prepared academically, but they should also be exposed to the environments in which knowledge is used. This is why the FLS journey often begins with preparatory training and continues with an international experience in which students must apply that preparation to a realistic challenge.
